This spring ’09, we’ve had lots of volunteers come to help us in our gardens and medians during our work/learning events.
The science class from Harding Fine Arts Academy came weekly. County juveniles came four different weekends. A youth group from St. Paul United Methodist Church in Muskogee along with students from Oklahoma City University came in March. For Earth Day weekend, we had over 100 volunteers from the University of Central Oklahoma and the University of Oklahoma who worked with employees from Starbucks, neighborhood children, youth and adults to expand our garden beds while learning the basics of organic gardening. We really appreciate all of the great help!
